In 2024, the Undergraduate Psychology Program Achieves Top Scores Across Key Criteria

The Undergraduate (S1) Psychology Study Program at Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta recorded notable achievements in 2024. Several criteria earned perfect scores: Vision, Mission, Goals & Strategy (4.00); Governance, Management, Leadership & Collaboration (4.00); and Education (4.00). High scores were also obtained in Students & Alumni (3.80), Research (3.67), Community Service (3.67), and Tri-Dharma Outputs (3.67). However, several areas still require attention. In Human Resources (3.46), many Assistant Experts are experiencing excessive workloads. In Finance, Infrastructure, Facilities & Information Systems (3.40), calculations for BOP, publications, and community service (PkM) are not yet optimal. Research and PkM need better documentation of activity counts and stronger student involvement. For Tri-Dharma Outputs, increases are needed in DTPS intellectual property (HKI) and students’ average GPA. Based on this evaluation, the program is expected to maintain its strengths while reinforcing areas for improvement.

Undergraduate Psychology Posts Several Peak Scores in 2023 Evaluation

Two key sub-standards—Vision, Mission, Goals & Strategy and Education—achieved 4.00. Tri-Dharma Outputs scored 3.67, followed by Human Resources (3.38) and Research (3.33). Students & Alumni (3.25) and Finance, Infrastructure, Facilities & IS (3.20) require strengthening. The lowest scores were in Governance, Management, Leadership & Collaboration and Community Service (each 3.00). Recommendations include priority-based budgeting for quality improvement, an integrated and user-friendly academic information system, effective SOP development, and integrating community service with research outcomes through sustained partnerships.

RMHTL 2022

UNY Holds Follow-Up Monitoring Meeting to Boost Academic Quality

Yogyakarta, 14 April 2023 – The Undergraduate Psychology Study Program held an RMHTL (Follow-Up Monitoring Meeting) for E-Monev. Student participation was high (93.97% odd semester; 89.19% even semester) but not yet 100%; this will be increased through intensive outreach and academic advisors’ support.

Lecture quality was rated “very high” (clear goals, alignment with the RPS, strong subject mastery). Areas for improvement include assignment variety, time effectiveness, technology use, and sensitivity to students’ difficulties—addressed via a teaching-innovation workshop.

Thesis supervision was “very high” at the start (avg. 4.24–4.26) but dipped at the end (4.09) due to administration, scheduling, and monitoring. Solutions: optimize the SiBimTA digital system for supervision logs and strengthen program-level monitoring.

E-Monev 2023: Optimizing SiBimTA & Strengthening Evaluation

Yogyakarta, 22 March 2024 – Chaired by Dr. Rosita Endang Kusmaryani, the RMHTL emphasized maintaining strong E-Monev participation through the active role of academic advisors. Teaching processes are on track and will continue to be reviewed in faculty forums.

Main follow-up: optimize SiBimTA (awareness, technical assistance, routine monitoring) to improve supervision regularity and the effectiveness of thesis completion.

E-Monev Results for AY 2024/2025

Participation remains relatively low (≈59.44% odd semester; 45.71% even semester). Follow-ups: semester-long outreach, integration with the academic system, recognition for high participation, and real-time monitoring.

Teaching: references and assessment mechanisms must be clearer and more transparent. Actions: more structured syllabi, explicit grading criteria from the outset, and better use of digital media.

Teaching methods and motivation strategies need more variety (interactive formats, diverse assignments, and educational technology).

Thesis supervision: supervision logbooks/cards are underused—mandatory manual & digital logging will be enforced; coordination among the program, supervisors, and students will be strengthened; periodic monitoring; defined completion timelines and targeted support for delayed cases.

UNY Enhances Teaching Quality and Thesis Supervision in the Undergraduate Psychology Program (AY 2024/2025)

Yogyakarta – The Undergraduate (S1) Psychology Study Program at UNY posted positive results in the 2024/2025 Evaluation and Monitoring (E-Monev). Student participation rose significantly from 33.33% to 85.56% in the odd semester and from 17.57% to 73.84% in the even semester. Nonetheless, average participation remains relatively low (59.44% odd; 45.71% even), calling for sustained strategies to ensure more even representation throughout the semester.

For lecture delivery, evaluations show “very good” quality, with average scores of 4.55 at the start of the odd semester and 4.42 at the end of the even semester. Students reported that lecturers clearly and systematically conveyed course objectives, rules, scope, and alignment with graduate competencies. Top-rated aspects include clarity of objectives, relevance to competencies, and adherence to class rules. However, students request clearer explanations of reference sources and assessment mechanisms, including weights and criteria.

Regarding thesis supervision, students expressed positive satisfaction (avg. 4.29, “good”). Strengths include thorough feedback on revisions, support in resolving academic issues, and ease of communication. Topic alignment with lecturers’ research clusters also facilitates progress. Challenges remain in consistent use of supervision logbooks/cards and limited program-level monitoring of students’ thesis progress.

The Quality Assurance Team recommends sustained E-Monev outreach, optimized communication of references and assessment mechanisms in lectures, and stronger program oversight using supervision instruments to monitor thesis completion. These steps are expected to continuously improve teaching quality and final-project completion effectiveness.

E-Monev 2023/2024 Records Positive Outcomes

Yogyakarta – The Undergraduate Psychology Study Program achieved high levels of student participation in E-Monev for AY 2023/2024. Participation reached an average of 83.38% in the odd semester and increased to 89.19% in the even semester, reflecting active student engagement that supports continuous improvement.

Lecture evaluations were in the “very high” category, with top scores for clarity of classroom rules, alignment with the RPS (course plans), and lecturers’ subject mastery. Areas needing attention include effective time management, more varied assignments, and richer reference materials to better support learning outcomes.

Practicum courses were rated “good to very good,” particularly for clarity of objectives, adherence to rules, and alignment with the curriculum. Further reinforcement is needed for relevance to professional practice, availability of reference materials, and the intensity of lecturer guidance, ensuring greater applicability and effectiveness.

For thesis supervision, students rated support as “very good,” notably in thorough revisions, ease of communication, and academic problem-solving. Administrative aspects—consistent use of supervision cards, meeting schedules, and program monitoring—still need strengthening. Recommendations: approach 100% E-Monev participation, diversify teaching strategies, enhance practicum relevance to professional fields, and refine supervision administration to sustain academic quality improvements.

2022/2023
