Document information manager officer

In accordance with the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 14 of 2008 on Public Information Disclosure, Chapter I, General Provisions, Article 1, it is stated that a Public Agency refers to executive, legislative, and judicial bodies, as well as other institutions whose main functions and duties are related to the administration of the state, whose funding is partially or wholly sourced from the State Budget (APBN) and/or Regional Budget (APBD), or non-governmental organizations whose funding is partially or wholly derived from the State Budget, Regional Budget, public contributions, and/or foreign sources. Referring to this provision, Yogyakarta State University (Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta), along with all faculties under its administration, including the Faculty of Psychology, constitutes one of the Public Agencies that is obligated to comply with the stipulations set forth in Law Number 14 of 2008.

As a Public Agency, Yogyakarta State University is responsible for providing, disseminating, and/or publishing public information that is accurate, reliable, and not misleading. Furthermore, Yogyakarta State University, through its operational units at the faculty level, including the Faculty of Psychology, is also required to establish and develop an information and documentation system that manages public information effectively and efficiently, ensuring it can be accessed easily by the public.

As a concrete effort to fulfill this obligation, Yogyakarta State University has appointed the Information and Documentation Management Officer (Pejabat Pengelola Informasi dan Dokumentasi, PPID) through a Rector’s Decree. The PPID officer is responsible for the storage, documentation, provision, and/or service of public information. The main function of the PPID is to deliver Public Information Services in accordance with the mandate of Law Number 14 of 2008 on Public Information Disclosure.

Furthermore, within the structure of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Kemdikbudristek), the PPID of Yogyakarta State University serves as an Implementing PPID, hereinafter referred to as PPID UNY. Currently, the existence of PPID UNY is regulated under the Rector’s Decree Number 359.2/UN34/I/2025 concerning the Appointment of the Information and Documentation Management Officer of Yogyakarta State University, dated July 1, 2025. As part of the Implementing PPID, the Faculty of Psychology actively supports the implementation of public information transparency through the provision of accountable and accessible information services within the faculty.
