UNY Holds Monitoring Meeting, Master of Psychology Program Focuses on Increasing Participation and Learning Innovation

Yogyakarta, April 14, 2023 – The Master of Psychology Program at Yogyakarta State University (UNY) conducted the Monitoring Follow-Up Meeting (RMHTL) of the Evaluation and Monitoring (E-Monev) on Friday (14/4). The meeting, chaired by Dr. Siti Rohmah Nurhayati, M.Si., and attended by 18 participants, was part of the academic quality assurance cycle aimed at improving teaching quality and services at the postgraduate level.

The evaluation results showed that student participation in E-Monev was relatively high during the odd semester with an average of 92.82%. However, in the even semester, the rate declined to 81.64%. The program aims to increase participation to 100% through strategies such as automated reminders, integration with the academic system (DHS), and intensive socialization via academic advisors.

In terms of theoretical learning quality, student assessments were in the very high category with an average score of 4.36–4.66. Strengths identified included clarity of objectives, material relevance, and lecturers’ mastery of content. Nevertheless, some weaknesses were noted regarding time effectiveness, variety of assignments, and the use of technology. To address this, the program plans to organize learning innovation workshops, optimize the Learning Management System (LMS), and implement interactive media.

Meanwhile, the quality of thesis supervision was also rated very high at the beginning of the semester (average 4.24–4.45), but slightly declined by the end (average 4.09–4.21). Issues identified included supervision administration, scheduling, and monitoring by the program. As a solution, UNY will optimize the use of the digital supervision system SiBimTA, hold supervision evaluation forums, and strengthen communication between students and supervisors.

Overall, the learning and academic services in the UNY Master of Psychology Program in 2022 were considered excellent. However, follow-up efforts focusing on increasing student participation, innovating teaching methods, and strengthening supervision management remain the main priorities to maintain consistency and enhance academic quality moving forward.

RMHTL E-Monev 2024: Master of Psychology UNY Enhances Learning Quality and Thesis Supervision

Yogyakarta, March 22, 2024 – The Master of Psychology Program at Yogyakarta State University (UNY) held the Monitoring Follow-Up Meeting (RMHTL) of the Evaluation and Monitoring (E-Monev) on Friday (22/3) at the FIPP Meeting Room. The meeting was chaired by Dr. Rosita Endang Kusmaryani, M.Si., and attended by 11 participants, including lecturers, program leaders, and the quality assurance team.

The meeting reported that, in general, the quality of learning in the Master of Psychology Program has been running well, particularly in terms of clarity of learning media. However, evaluations indicated the need to increase the variety of media use to further support the learning process. “We will continue conducting supervision and regular monitoring of lecturers to ensure that the learning media used are aligned with students’ needs,” said Dr. Rosita.

The discussion also highlighted challenges in thesis supervision, particularly in supervision documentation, meeting frequency, and student progress monitoring. As a follow-up, the program encouraged the optimization of SiBimTA (Thesis Supervision System) through socialization for both lecturers and students, as well as increased monitoring from the program management. “SiBimTA must become the primary instrument in supporting structured supervision. With optimal use, the quality of students’ thesis completion will be further improved,” she added.

Through this RMHTL, the Master of Psychology Program at UNY reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening academic quality through continuous monitoring, learning innovation, and optimized supervision services. The meeting outcomes will serve as a foundation for strategies to improve academic quality in line with UNY’s vision to produce outstanding, competitive, and integrity-driven graduates.

E-Monev Results of the Master of Psychology Program Yogyakarta State University Academic Year 2024/2025

Yogyakarta – The Master of Psychology Program at Yogyakarta State University has conducted monitoring and evaluation (E-Monev) of teaching and thesis supervision during the odd and even semesters of the 2024/2025 academic year. This activity was carried out as part of the program’s commitment to ensuring educational quality and improving academic services.

The E-Monev results indicated that student participation in filling out the E-Monev questionnaire still needs to be improved. In the odd semester, participation reached 46.55%, while in the even semester it decreased to 35.87%. This condition prompted the program to mandate E-Monev completion, intensify socialization, and consider providing academic and non-academic incentives.

In terms of lecturers’ performance in theoretical courses, E-Monev results showed consistently excellent ratings, with averages of 4.55–4.58 in the odd semester and 4.44–4.54 in the even semester. Strengths included clarity of objectives, alignment of materials with the syllabus, and lecturers’ mastery of content. However, improvements are still needed in time management, student motivation, and assignment variety.

Regarding thesis supervision, evaluations showed results in the good to excellent category, with averages ranging from 4.38–4.57. Students appreciated the lecturers’ support in providing solutions, thoroughness in revisions, and ease of communication. Nevertheless, the use of supervision cards and progress monitoring systems still needs to be strengthened.

In terms of academic management, both the Program and the Faculty have carried out their functions effectively, though more intensive monitoring is required for follow-up actions on E-Monev results. Therefore, the Faculty and the Quality Assurance Unit (GPM) will conduct regular assistance and supervision to ensure that the recommendations are implemented effectively.

With these results, the Master of Psychology Program at UNY reaffirms its commitment to continuously improving the quality of teaching and supervision through strategic follow-up measures that have been formulated.
