UNY Holds Monitoring Meeting, Discusses Academic Quality Improvement in the Psychology Study Program
Yogyakarta, April 14, 2023 – The Undergraduate Psychology Study Program at Yogyakarta State University (UNY) held a Monitoring Follow-Up Meeting (RMHTL) of the Evaluation and Monitoring (E-Monev) on Friday (14/4). The meeting, chaired by Dr. Siti Rohmah Nurhayati, M.Si. and attended by 18 participants, discussed the follow-up of the previous semester’s learning evaluation results.
It was conveyed that student participation in E-Monev was considered high, reaching 93.97% in the odd semester and 89.19% in the even semester. However, these numbers have not yet reached 100%. The program plans to intensify socialization on the importance of E-Monev and activate the role of academic advisors to increase student participation.
The quality of theoretical learning was assessed as very high, with strengths in clarity of objectives, alignment of lesson plans, and lecturers’ mastery of material. However, shortcomings were found in task variety, time effectiveness, technology use, and lecturers’ concern for student difficulties. Therefore, the program plans to hold a workshop on innovative teaching methods and technology in the odd semester of 2023.
Meanwhile, thesis supervision initially showed very high quality with averages of 4.24–4.26, but declined at the end of the semester to 4.09. The main issues were related to supervision administration, scheduling, and monitoring systems. As a solution, the program will optimize the use of the digital SiBimTA system for supervision records and strengthen monitoring by the program management.
Through this meeting, UNY reaffirmed its commitment to continuously improving the quality of teaching, research, and academic services. With follow-up steps such as enhancing student participation, fostering teaching innovation, and optimizing digital supervision administration, the academic quality of the Psychology Study Program is expected to develop sustainably.

Undergraduate Psychology E-Monev 2023: Optimizing SiBimTA and Strengthening Evaluation, UNY Psychology Study Program Holds RMHTL Meeting 2024
Yogyakarta, March 22, 2024 – The Undergraduate Psychology Study Program at Yogyakarta State University (UNY) held a Monitoring Follow-Up Meeting (RMHTL) of the Evaluation and Monitoring (E-Monev) on Friday (22/3). The meeting, chaired by Dr. Rosita Endang Kusmaryani, M.Si. and attended by 11 participants, discussed follow-ups to the previous semester’s learning evaluation results.
The meeting conveyed that student participation in E-Monev was already considered very good. Nevertheless, the program continues to encourage consistency through the active role of academic advisors. “We need to ensure that all students participate fully, both at the beginning and the end of the semester,” emphasized Dr. Rosita Endang Kusmaryani, M.Si. The lecture process was also deemed to be running well and will continue to be enhanced through lecturer evaluation forums.
Meanwhile, thesis supervision became the main focus of follow-up actions. The use of the digital SiBimTA system was deemed not yet optimal, thus requiring reinforcement through socialization, technical assistance, and regular monitoring. “SiBimTA is an important instrument to ensure supervision order. By strengthening this system, we hope the completion of students’ theses will become more effective,” she added.

E-Monev Results Report, Undergraduate Psychology Study Program, Yogyakarta State University, Academic Year 2024/2025
Yogyakarta – The Undergraduate Psychology Study Program at Yogyakarta State University conducted the monitoring and evaluation (E-Monev) of learning and thesis supervision for the Academic Year 2024/2025. This evaluation aimed to ensure the quality of academic processes and serve as the basis for continuous improvement.
The results showed that student participation in completing the E-Monev remained low, with an average of 59.44% in the odd semester and 45.71% in the even semester. Although participation increased at the end of the semester, this indicated the need for broader socialization. As a follow-up, the program will intensify socialization throughout the semester, integrate E-Monev into the academic system, provide recognition for students with high participation, and conduct real-time monitoring.
In terms of learning, it was found that reference provision and grading mechanisms were not fully optimal. Some students felt that the references used were unclear and grading weights lacked transparency. In response, the program, together with course lecturers, will prepare more structured syllabi, clarify grading criteria at the beginning of the course, and use digital media to enhance transparency.
Additionally, the evaluation noted that teaching methods and strategies to motivate students still required diversification. Monotonous lectures risk lowering students’ motivation. To address this, lecturers are encouraged to adopt interactive teaching methods, assign varied tasks, and maximize the use of learning technologies.
Regarding thesis supervision, E-Monev revealed that the use of supervision logbooks/cards was still suboptimal, making it difficult to monitor student progress. The program will require both manual and digital recording of supervision sessions to ensure progress is more controlled.
Furthermore, the program’s monitoring of thesis progress was still limited, necessitating reinforcement through regular coordination forums between the program, supervisors, and students. The program will also conduct periodic monitoring of thesis completion.
Finally, it was found that thesis completion time was still relatively long. These delays were attributed to ineffective supervision management, repeated revisions, and weak monitoring. Planned follow-ups include setting clear thesis completion timelines, providing special support for students experiencing delays, and strengthening coordination between supervisors and the program.
Through these follow-up actions from the E-Monev results, the Undergraduate Psychology Study Program at UNY reaffirmed its commitment to continuously improving teaching quality, the effectiveness of thesis supervision, and academic services for students.
