Selecting Outstanding Students, the Faculty of Psychology of UNY Holds the Final Round of PILMAPRES 2025

Yogyakarta, January 22, 2025 — The Faculty of Psychology, Yogyakarta State University (FP UNY), held the Final Round of the Faculty-Level Selection of Outstanding Students (Pemilihan Mahasiswa Berprestasi / PILMAPRES) 2025 on Thursday, January 22, 2025, starting at 08:30 a.m. WIB until completion. The event took place in Classroom 24, Noeng Muhajir Building, Faculty of Education, Yogyakarta State University.

The Selection of Outstanding Students serves as the faculty-level selection stage to identify the best students who will represent the Faculty of Psychology of UNY in the university-level PILMAPRES competition. The selection process was designed not only as a competitive forum but also as part of academic development and student potential enhancement. The event was officially opened by the Dean of the Faculty of Psychology of UNY, Dr. Siti Rohmah Nurhayati, S.Psi., M.Si. In her opening remarks, the Dean emphasized that PILMAPRES is a strategic platform for fostering a culture of excellence, academic integrity, and student competitiveness at broader levels.

The final stage of PILMAPRES at the Faculty of Psychology of UNY was conducted through a comprehensive and objective assessment process covering three main components: Outstanding Achievements (OA), Creative Idea Presentation (CI), and English Language Proficiency (ELP). The assessment was carried out objectively and comprehensively by a panel of judges consisting of faculty members of the Faculty of Psychology of UNY: Eva Rahman, M.Psi., Psychologist; Rahmatika Kurnia Romadhani, M.Psi., Psychologist; and Annisa Nur Harwiningtyas, M.Psi., Psychologist.

The finalists of the Faculty of Psychology Outstanding Student Selection were Devin Johanda, Dian Rizky, Wahyu Aprilia, and Fadhilla Aureliya. These four students were selected as the best candidates after passing the initial selection stages and demonstrating outstanding achievements, creative thinking skills, and strong academic communication competencies throughout the assessment process. Based on the final evaluation results, Devin Johanda was awarded the title of Outstanding Student (Mahasiswa Berprestasi / MAPRES) of the Faculty of Psychology of UNY. With this achievement, Devin Johanda will officially represent the Faculty of Psychology of UNY in the Outstanding Student Selection at the university level of Yogyakarta State University.

The event concluded with closing remarks delivered by the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs of the Faculty of Psychology of UNY, Dr. Suwarjo, M.Si. In his closing statement, he expressed the hope that the selected student would continue to receive guidance and mentoring, enabling optimal performance and bringing honor to the Faculty of Psychology of UNY at the university-level selection and subsequent stages. The Faculty of Psychology of UNY extends its highest appreciation to all finalists of the faculty-level Outstanding Student Selection for their dedication, academic integrity, and critical and creative thinking skills demonstrated throughout the selection process. Through the PILMAPRES program, the Faculty of Psychology of UNY reaffirms its commitment to supporting the development of outstanding students who excel not only academically but also in creativity, character, and strong competitiveness.
