Visiting Professor Lecture by Associate Professor Dr. Hazalizah binti Hamzah at the Faculty of Psychology UNY

The Faculty of Psychology, Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY), organized a guest lecture featuring Associate Professor Dr. Hazalizah binti Hamzah, Head of the Department of Psychology and Counseling, Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI), Malaysia.

The program was attended by undergraduate psychology students from the 2023 and 2024 cohorts and was held in the Main Assembly Hall, UNY, on September 17, 2025. The lecture was conducted in two sessions:

Session I: 09.00 – 11.00 WIB

Session II: 13.00 – 15.00 WIB

The lecture focused on the theme “Characteristics of Training Participants.” Dr. Hazalizah discussed various psychological dimensions that shape participants’ engagement, motivation, and learning outcomes in training contexts. She emphasized the importance of recognizing individual differences, cultural influences, and contextual factors that impact the effectiveness of training programs.

This academic activity provided students with valuable international insights into applied psychology, while also strengthening academic collaboration between the Faculty of Psychology UNY and UPSI Malaysia. The event not only broadened students’ perspectives on training psychology but also fostered cross-border academic exchange in the field of psychology and counseling.
