The Undergraduate (Bachelor’s) Program in Psychology at the Faculty of Psychology, Yogyakarta State University, is a pure academic program designed to produce competent, adaptive, and highly competitive psychology graduates with a strong academic identity. Graduates are expected to demonstrate integrity, independence, intellectual maturity, and a strong commitment to national and humanitarian values at both regional and broader levels.

Graduate Competencies

  • Demonstrate awareness and commitment to contributing to the improvement of societal quality of life.
  • Exhibit responsibility, emotional maturity, independence, and adherence to academic ethics.
  • Understand fundamental psychological concepts to describe psychological phenomena.
  • Apply basic psychological assessment principles to analyze psychological conditions.
  • Understand non-clinical, behavior-change–based psychological interventions.
  • Conduct non-clinical psychological assessment, measurement, problem solving, and intervention.
  • Utilize technology effectively within psychological contexts.
  • Conduct scientific research and academic publication.
  • Demonstrate critical thinking, communication skills, teamwork, and career planning abilities.
