Guest Lecture by Visiting Professor Dr. Muhammad Asyraf Bin Che Amat at the Faculty of Psychology, UNY

The Faculty of Psychology, Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY), hosted a guest lecture with Visiting Professor Dr. Muhammad Asyraf Bin Che Amat, K.B; P.A., who currently serves as the Head of the Department of Educational Psychology and Counseling, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM).

The lecture was attended by undergraduate psychology students from the 2023 and 2024 cohorts and was held on 17 September 2025, at the Abdullah Sigit Hall, Faculty of Education, UNY. The program was conducted in two sessions:

Session I: 09.00 – 11.00 WIB

Session II: 13.00 – 15.00 WIB

The lecture centered on the theme of Mental Health, with a particular focus on resilience and stress. Dr. Asyraf highlighted the importance of resilience as a key factor in maintaining mental well-being, especially in the context of academic challenges and everyday life. He emphasized that resilience not only supports psychological health but also serves as an essential foundation for career development and future success.

Through this program, psychology students at UNY are expected to broaden their knowledge and deepen their understanding of mental health issues from an international academic perspective. Furthermore, this initiative strengthens the academic collaboration and network between the Faculty of Psychology UNY and higher education institutions in Southeast Asia.
