Psychology Faculty Yudisium at UNY: 31 Graduates Ready to Take the Next Step

The Faculty of Psychology, Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY), successfully held its yudisium ceremony as part of the final academic process for students who have completed their studies. The event took place on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at the 3rd Floor Hall of Moh. Amien Building, Faculty of Education (FIP) UNY.

The ceremony was conducted in a solemn yet joyful atmosphere, marking an important milestone for the graduates as they officially conclude their academic journey and prepare to embark on the next phase of their professional or academic careers. A sense of pride and emotion filled the room, shared by students, lecturers, and administrative staff.

A total of 31 students participated in the yudisium, consisting of 24 undergraduate (S1) graduates and 7 master’s (S2) graduates. These students have successfully completed all academic requirements, including coursework, research, and final thesis projects, demonstrating commendable achievements.

The event was attended by faculty leaders, lecturers, and staff members who expressed their appreciation for the dedication and perseverance shown by the graduates throughout their studies. In the remarks delivered by faculty representatives, graduates were encouraged to apply their psychological knowledge professionally, uphold integrity, and contribute meaningfully to society.

Beyond being a formal academic ceremony, the yudisium also served as a moment of reflection on the learning journey undertaken by the students. Graduates are expected not only to possess strong academic competence but also interpersonal skills, empathy, and social awareness key qualities of psychology professionals.

Following this event, all yudisium participants will proceed to the UNY graduation ceremony scheduled for June 2026. Thus, this yudisium marks the gateway toward their official recognition as UNY alumni.
