The Faculty of Psychology at Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (FP UNY) has established an international collaboration with the Department of Psychology, Faculty of Human Development, Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI), Malaysia, through the implementation of a Student Mobility (Student Exchange Program). This program was conducted from March 31 to April 4, 2026, at the Faculty of Human Development, UPSI, Malaysia.

In this program, FP UNY sent six students, consisting of four undergraduate (S1) and two graduate (S2) Psychology students, to participate in a series of academic and non-academic activities. During the program, the students engaged in sit-in sessions in several courses, including Substance Abuse, Industrial and Organizational Psychology, Proposal Presentation, and Educational Psychology. In addition, they took part in discussions with student organizations at UPSI to broaden their perspectives, exchange experiences, and build international networks.

This student exchange program represents a concrete effort by the Faculty of Psychology UNY to enhance the quality of learning through global exposure and to strengthen international collaboration in the field of psychology. Through direct engagement with an international academic environment, students are expected to develop their academic competencies, intercultural communication skills, and global perspectives relevant to the advancement of psychology.

Furthermore, this program also contributes to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) initiated by United Nations, particularly in promoting inclusive and quality education as well as strengthening global partnerships among higher education institutions. Through this initiative, the Faculty of Psychology UNY continues to demonstrate its commitment to producing graduates who are competitive, adaptive, and globally oriented.
