PANCASILA DAY COMMEMORATION CEREMONY 2026 AT YOGYAKARTA STATE UNIVERSITY: FACULTY OF PSYCHOLOGY LECTURERS AND STAFF DEMONSTRATE NATIONAL COMMITMENT

Yogyakarta – Yogyakarta State University (UNY) held a solemn and meaningful Pancasila Day Commemoration Ceremony on Monday, June 1, 2026. The event was attended by the entire academic community, including lecturers and administrative staff from the Faculty of Psychology, as a form of commitment to strengthening the values of Pancasila within the academic environment.

The ceremony commenced at 07:30 AM and continued until completion, taking place within the UNY campus area. Since early morning, participants had gathered at the venue wearing the newly released batik uniform of UNY’s 62nd Anniversary (Dies Natalis 2026), reflecting both institutional identity and pride. A strong sense of unity and nationalism was evident, as all participants took part in the ceremony in an orderly and respectful manner.

Lecturers and administrative staff from the Faculty of Psychology attended the ceremony in full participation. Their presence represented not only formal attendance but also a manifestation of Pancasila values in academic life, particularly in education, research, and community service. This moment served as an important reminder of the strategic role of higher education institutions in shaping individuals with strong character, integrity, and national awareness.

Throughout the ceremony, participants followed a series of formal proceedings, including the raising of the Indonesian flag, the recitation of the Pancasila text, the reading of the 1945 Constitution preamble, and the address delivered by the ceremony leader. The address emphasized the importance of internalizing Pancasila values in facing global challenges while strengthening Indonesia’s national identity amid contemporary dynamics.

The use of the UNY Dies Natalis 2026 batik during the ceremony symbolized unity and institutional pride among the academic community. Beyond serving as an identity marker, the batik also represented the spirit of “Optimizing Achievements to Realize an Impactful UNY,” the theme of UNY’s 62nd anniversary. Lecturers and staff from the Faculty of Psychology appeared coordinated and unified, demonstrating collective strength in supporting the university’s vision.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, the event was closed with a group photo session involving lecturers and administrative staff of the Faculty of Psychology. This moment served to strengthen collegial bonds while also becoming an important documentation of the 2026 Pancasila Day commemoration. A warm and collegial atmosphere was evident as participants gathered for photographs against the backdrop of a vibrant and spirited campus environment.

Through their participation in this ceremony, the Faculty of Psychology at UNY reaffirmed its commitment to upholding and practicing the values of Pancasila, both within the academic setting and in broader societal contributions. The commemoration of Pancasila Day is not merely an annual ceremonial event but also a reflective moment to continuously strengthen national character through education grounded in the noble values of Pancasila.

With a spirit of unity and strong dedication, it is hoped that the entire UNY academic community, especially the Faculty of Psychology, will continue to contribute to building an advanced, principled, and Pancasila-based Indonesia.
