Kulon Progo – Efforts to reduce child marriage continue to gain momentum across Indonesia. Demonstrating its commitment to addressing this issue, the Faculty of Psychology at Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) organized a four-day community engagement program aimed at developing peer educators who can actively promote child marriage prevention among adolescents.

Guidance and Counseling (GC) teachers play a vital role in promoting students' academic, personal, social, and emotional development. Every day, they serve as active listeners, counselors, mentors, and trusted adults who support students in navigating various life challenges. While fulfilling these responsibilities, GC teachers are frequently exposed to emotionally demanding situations that require continuous empathy, patience, and professional commitment.

Banjaroyo, June 18, 2026 – The Student Executive Board (BEM KM) of the Faculty of Psychology, Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY), officially inaugurated its Program Penguatan Kapasitas Organisasi Kemahasiswaan (PPK Ormawa; Student Organization Capacity Strengthening Program) through a Grand Opening ceremony held at the Banjaroyo Village Office, Kalibawang District, Kulon Progo Regency, on Thursday (June 18). The event marked the commencement of the four-month community engagement program.

The Faculty of Psychology, Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY), successfully held its yudisium ceremony as part of the final academic process for students who have completed their studies. The event took place on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at the 3rd Floor Hall of Moh. Amien Building, Faculty of Education (FIP) UNY.
